...are wild guitar-organ-drums-combo, from Kuopio, Finland...

The ladies draw their musical influences from 50´s rock´n´roll, 60´s girl group sounds, through obscure garagepunk to 70´s punk.

Wild Girl Walk - second album of The Micragirls includes 11 brand new The Micragirls originals and cover version of Wanda Jackson's beautiful Funnel Of Love. Like the debut album Feeling Dizzy Honey?! also Wild Girl Walk is released by Finnish/German Bone Voyage Recordings. Asko Keränen of 22 Pistepirkko and Bone Voyage fame produced Wild Girl Walk with The Micragirls. Record was mixed by Pentti Dassum. Cover art was made by Sami Wundergrafiks.

Wild Girl Walk takes you first for a wild road trip thru the darkest hours and then slows down on the moody side of the road - just to hit the pedal thru the floor! While some of the Wild Girl Walk songs reach hysteria, some gives you chills with haunting and howling organ melodies. On the new album you can hear echoes from the 50's rock'n'roll, the 60's girl bands and the 70's New York sound. The unique sound of the Micragirls is put together of simple elements by playing together with open-minded attitude.

The Micragirls has toured with Jon Spencer's bands Heavy Trash and Boss Hog supporting them on tours around Europe. Now their co-operation will continue when Heavy Trash/Blues Explosion/BossHog/Speedball Baby guys Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray are performing on Wild Girl Walk as guest vocalists.

The Micragirls was formed during a finnish rock festival in 2001 after they had spent their festival nights in their little car. To get better festival accommodation in the future they decided to form a band. From start their influences drew from not too well-known artists of 50's and 60's rock'n'roll and garage rock compilations like Born Bad, Savage Kick, Back From The Grave etc. Eight years, 15 countries and some 250 gigs later the beat goes on as insane as it once started!

"If you don't already have a record by Micragirls in your colletion, then you don't like garage music. (…) the album - a small wild and primitive garage punk masterpiece." (No Brains, Netherlands)

"Irresistible" (Mojo, UK)

"Every single tune on their debut is frickin' awsome and the three Finish girls have a brilliantly intuitive way with ramshackle rhythm." (Plan B, UK/US)
